What is meant by the term "Environmental Justice?"
"Environmental Justice is
the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people
regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with
respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of
environmental laws, regulations, and policies" A
fundamental aspect of the Environmental Justice movement is to
empower those who are in less influential positions, and to
demand change in laws and policies, and their
implementations.
