Natural Desert Association. A rewarding way to get
involved in desert and wild lands preservation is by
volunteering on a restoration project. ONDA leads a number of
volunteer trips each year ranging from multi-day backpacking
trips to single day hikes. The trips focus on the removal of
obsolete barbed wire fence, road closures, riparian
restoration and invasive species control. The purpose of
ONDA's Restoration Program is to introduce people to Oregon's
high desert, restore and preserve its wilderness qualities,
and grow advocates for its long lasting protection. We invite
you to join us. For project details visit www.onda.org or email jjacobs@onda.org.
If you'd like to talk with us about your
volunteer interests, please call 385-6908 or email karyn(at)envirocenter(dot)org. We're happy to help match you with volunteer
projects!
