PROJECT DETAILS: This is a new annual project we are fostering with the BLM Burns District. Volunteers will be working to collect annual vegetation data to document plant community change within the Western Juniper Management Area. The Western Juniper Management Area is located just off the North Loop Rd on the Steens Mountain. The ability to do light to moderate hiking is required. Volunteers will be measuring plant cover, density (number of plants per 2 square feet), and species composition.
WHEN: Plan to arrive the night of July 11th.
COST: Free to members, $45 for non-members.
A FULL ITINERARY, INCLUDING WHAT TO BRING, WILL BE PROVIDED UPON REGISTRATION.
